Have a clear space approximately 11’x6’ – if you’re scheduling a couples massage, either make sure you have 2 areas available at this size or one clear area roughly 11’x8’. If you are currently pregnant or the birth of your child happened less than 2 months ago, please contact your care provider to make sure that you’re cleared for massage. Bear in mind that your therapist needs access to the room in which you’d like your massage 30 minutes prior to your appointment. Please be sure that someone is present to let them in and inform the therapist where they should set up their equipment. (back to top)
Call during our office hours to set up an appointment. Our therapists and estheticians are available seven days a week from 10a.m. until 9p.m. You can also send us an e-mail to let us know what times you would like, a contact phone number and what times are most convenient for you to return our call.
Please be ready for a consultation 10 minutes prior to your appointment so we can consult with you about your health, goals and any contraindications you may have. If you’re only getting a facial, your esthetician will give you a short form to fill out. The forms on our site only need to be filled out if this is your first time getting a massage or body treatment from Kindle Massage. In order to provide you with the optimal level of relaxation and relief from physical changes of pregnancy, we ask that you take the time to have these two forms filled out for us. (back to top)
Print this out and have your health provider fill it out. They can either give it to you, or fax it directly to us.
Additionally, you could provide them with the link to this site, have them print it out and fax the completed form back to us.
Print it out, complete the form and give it to your therapist before your massage. You can also fax it to us in advance, if you prefer.
For your convenience, we offer many ways in which you can get these forms to us before your appointment. However, if it’s too inconvenient for you to get your care provider to fill out the medical release prior to the first appointment, we will see you as long as they have cleared you for massage. Communication is key. Let us know if you don’t like the pressure the therapist is using, if the temperature in the room is too hot or cold, or if you feel uncomfortable in any way during the service. Underwear is optional. You will be draped with sheets and towels at all times, but your comfort is the most important thing. We also supply disposable underwear during body treatments for maximum privacy.
If you have a preference for the gender of your therapist, please state it when you schedule your appointment. (back to top)
Please take your time getting off the table – sometimes when you’re in a hurry to get up afterwards, it’s easy to aggravate problematic muscles or get a little dizzy. After packing their equipment, the therapist will present you with the receipt for your service.
Our therapists then prefer to briefly check in with you afterwards, both to monitor what changes you feel immediately afterwards as well as to offer you any helpful recommendations (stretches, supportive resources, etc.), but if you would like to opt out and just continue relaxing, let us know and we will be more than happy to accommodate you.
All notes that are taken in the course of your treatment are strictly confidential and are for the sole purpose of ensuring that you receive the optimal complimentary health care throughout your pregnancy and beyond.
You may opt to give gratuities. The recommended range is between 15% and 20% of the price of the service provided, but the amount is left up to your discretion. (back to top)
